Nacho and Teeny helped me make my first single crochet round rug.  I ended up tearing out all of the felt (that's called "frogging", right?) and I can't remember why.  I did enjoy crocheting with the strips of felt, I will definitely consider buying more felt for that.

I also made my first crochet flower!  I blocked it last night and it looks a lot better, it was pretty lumpy when I first finished it.  The pattern is called "The Never Ending Wildflower" and is from Little Monkeys Crochet.  The pattern was very easy to follow and works up very quickly when using sheet yarn!

I have always said I'm a knitter and that crochet makes no sense to me.  Well, looks like that's changing somewhat.  I don't think I'll probably ever make intense tatting like my Grandmother used to make, but a rag rug?  Yeah, I can do that.
This crochet will be part of my thesis exhibition.  I'm still not sure exactly how I want to put the rug together, but I'm figuring out bits and pieces one technique at a time.
