Moosehead Lake

Thanks to Amber of Moosehead Area Guide Service I got to see moose in the wild for the first time in Maine!  I can't say the "first time ever" since we did see one in Newfoundland in 2017 at the very end of a boat trip, one appeared from the woods and waded out into the water.  We ended up seeing three moose with Amber, here is one of them:

I believe this is Big Spencer mountain, but I had been up since 4am when i took this so don't quote me on that.

The mornings were beautiful.

Every night was beautiful.

This dragonfly was laying her eggs in Moosehead lake early Sunday morning.

There was some really dramatic weather throughout the weekend, with great views of it all. While this photo was taken, loons were singing and swimming in the distance.
